Heavy snow fall in the Italian Alps. The Limone Piemonte / Occitania region – south of Cuneo, get particularly heavy snowfall due to it’s close proximity to the Mediterranean sea. Sometimes we get 2m+ around our house and have to tunnel our way out. Heavy snowfall aside, another advantage of being near the sea is that is not as cold as the rest of the Alps, rarely dropping below -5C.
