Betel nut

A basket of betel nut laid out at a market store in central Burma. The nut is crushed and wrapped inside a Paan leaf usually with tabacco leaf, stuffed in the mouth and chewed on like a dog with his bone. Betal plays a massive part in Asian social culture, particularly in India and Burma.
